Our certificates
Soft Gel Air Patended
We are the only company in the world that uses the patented soft gel air material in the mattresses for the correct temperature fluctuation during the night. A key component of good rest is body temperature control and Soft Gel Air® is ideal for night rest due to its low thermal conductivity. It takes about three hours to record a significant rise in temperature, keeping it at a constant temperature a few degrees below body temperature. This promotes blood circulation, tissue oxygenation and produces a pleasantly fresh sensation.
Classe 1 IM certification
Classe 1 IM is a fire reaction certification for many textiles. These products include mattresses and pillows. According to the reaction of the products to the fire, they are divided into three categories: 3 IM, 2 IM and 1 IM.
Classe 1 IM is the best category, which is awarded only to those mattresses that have passed all the tests. The flexy strom mattresses have passed all the tests in the fire reaction, obtaining the coveted certification of fire retardant category 1 IM.
FIRA certification
International FIRA certification for Quality Assurance for Furniture – has been known for over 50 years as a reliable reference for the highest quality and hygienic compatibility and is the only Seal of Approval for furniture that monitors and certifies all quality through neutral testing. Thus, it offers consumers not only safety in terms of long life and perfect operation of the respective product, but also the requirements set for the protection of health and the environment. All flexy strom beds are FIRA certified.
Woolmark Certification
Woolmark is a global certification that guarantees the consumer that all fabrics used in mattresses are made from 100% pure virgin wool. Before one can use the Woolmark label on their products, one has to go through the high quality levels from The Woolmark.
Oeko -Tex Standard 100 certification
OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 is an international testing and certification system for textile raw, intermediate and finished products. All textiles, which are completely harmless to health, are affixed to the Oeko-Tex® label to provide the consumer with the assured guarantee that the corresponding textile contains no chemicals and is a skin-friendly product. The more intense the level of skin contact with a textile product such as the mattress after it is used by infants and young children, the higher the human-ecological requirements that must be met.
All flexy strom products are made with certified and compatible with OEKO-TEX standards raw materials.
Medical product certification
A certification for which we are proud since we are the only company in the Greek market that has mattresses and pillows in its range with certification as a medical product by the Italian Ministry of Health.
Through medical examinations and in collaboration with orthopedic doctors, the Italian Ministry of Health certifies mattresses and pillows which have been proven to help people prevent, treat and alleviate specific pathologies.
Products certified as “Dispositivo Medico Classe 1” must also bear the CE marking, which is mandatory for all products produced and marketed in EU countries in accordance with an EU directive on product safety requirements.
LGA certification
The German LGA is the most important certification that a mattress can carry in the world and we are very happy that all our mattresses have this certification.
LGA certification tests the mattresses for quality, durability, harmful substances, emissions, ergonomics and safety through strict controls.
More specifically:
Controls the use of harmful substances
It controls the emissions of formaldehyde, a chemical compound that is harmful to humans.
Controls odors.
Controls emissions of organic compounds.
Control of raw materials.
Also all mattresses are subject to a rigorous endurance test the standard DIN EN 1957. The standard DIN EN 1957 deals with the functional performance for home use of a mattress.
The test is performed by placing a force of 1,400N (approximately 150 kg) on the mattress and pressing the mattress 60,000 times. This test is intended to simulate the normal use of a mattress.
The above test is performed to evaluate the mattress in four categories:
Change the height of the mattress
Change the hardness of the mattress at the same time
Change in mattress hardness after testing
Changing the durability coefficient of the mattress
The test is graded on a scale of 0-100 with 25 points distributed in each of the above categories.
According to the standard, a mattress must score above 90 points to get certification.
TUV ISO 9001 certification
